As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread around the world, we have a heightened awareness of its impact on our community. While we were looking forward to connecting with the community at upcoming events like the Golden State Warriors Italian Heritage Night later this month, it is unfortunately no longer possible to do so.
That being said, now is more important than ever for us to take care of each other and our community. Our hearts also go out to our brothers and sisters in Italy who continue to battle COVID-19. If you are able to, we suggest that you donate to various Italian relief efforts on GoFundMe.
We also want to say loud and clear: North Beach is open for business. Small businesses are at the heart of our community and they need our help. While we encourage you to practice social distancing and understand you may not be able to visit a cafe, restaurant or other businesses at this time, there are still ways you can help. Buy a gift card. Order takeout or delivery. Pick-up your groceries and essentials from local businesses.
These are challenging times for the community, but we will get through this together just as we have done in the past.
