The nation’s longest continuously running Italian Heritage Parade takes to the streets of San Francisco on Sunday, October 13, 2019

The San Francisco Italian Heritage Parade announces Queen Isabella and her Court for the upcoming parade on October 13, 2019, in San Francisco. Gina Guglielmoni has been named Queen Isabella for the San Francisco Italian Heritage Parade. Her family roots go back to Genoa, Fusio, and Calabria. Gina is a Bay area native and has been involved in the parade and the court since 2005. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Kinesiology at San Jose State.

The San Francisco Italian Heritage Parade is the longest continuously running Italian Heritage Parade in the United States and celebrates the accomplishments and culture of all Italian-Americans. The inaugural parade took place in 1869 in San Francisco’s downtown, featuring the bands and marching units of Italian fraternal organizations, including the Garibaldi Guard, Swiss Guards, and Lafayette Guards. Throughout the years, it has remained a sign of the vitality of the Italian communities in the Bay Area.
